Cisco is the worldwide leader in IT and networking. As part of their commitment to staff wellbeing, Cisco engaged Pavelka to deliver a bespoke version of their popular health revolution for their 70,000 global employees.
Pavelka commissioned Six Two in Ashford to design, build and maintain a private website to be the foundation of Cisco’s health initiative.
Please note, as the website is private, we are unable to provide a link for you to view it, however please see below for more images.
We created a bespoke WordPress site for the Pavelka House for Cisco in 2016. Since then, we’ve continually refined and enhanced the site. Some of our key achievements include:
- Step challenge technology – we built a step challenge feature that encouraged Cisco staff across the globe to form teams and compete to see which team could record the greatest number of steps in a month. Using API integrations, users could integrate their Fitbit or Apple Health data (via Nokia Health Mate) step data directly into the challenge. The challenge saw a record number of staff joining the House and encouraged healthy habits, with tens of millions of steps recorded.
- Mindfulness challenge technology – we built a mindfulness challenge feature that encouraged Cisco staff to spend some time being mindful every day for 30 days. The objective was to help staff form ongoing habits to improve their mental wellbeing, so users were rewarded for streaks of good behaviour: every consecutive day the user recorded mindful minutes was the greater the number of bonus points they received.
- Advanced reporting – we created a number of advanced reports using annonymised aggregated data to identify engagement trends split by demographics such as country, helping Cisco understand how different groups were using the House and better develop the programme to answer employees’ needs.
- Successful security audits – as with any company supplying software to Cisco, we underwent extensive enterprise level security audits. These scrutinised the security of our website software and architecture, as well as the robustness of our internal systems and processes. We passed both sets of audits in 2016 and 2019 successfully.
