The Challenge

Farm Machinery have a nationwide magazine which advertises suppliers and sellers of agricultural equipment. Their old website was outdated, difficult to use and had several security issues.

Farm Machinery approached our web design agency to design a brand new modern website to give users a better experience, support aggregate listings and develop new online revenue streams.

The Solution

We designed and built a bespoke website that shows their full online catalogue of product listings, with easy to use search and filter functionality customers can use to find the product their wanting to buy.

We also integrated a custom API feed with the WordPress platform to allow bulk listings to be pulled through from dealer’s internal systems and onto the site.

The Results

New online revenue streams from paid advertising spots on the website for dealers and premium paid listings for private sellers.
Reduced admin time – by building a new bulk export feature, Farm Machinery’s design team can export the data for all listings within a given time frame in just a few clicks, savings hours each month and reducing human error.
Improved user experience – since improving the process for private sellers to list their items for sale, there has been a significant drop in listings submitted via post, and an improved bounce rate.
