Pulling property data straight from internal software into a website

Back to case studies

The brief

BTF are one of the leading rural estate agents in Kent and East Sussex. Previously they had to put all their properties online twice: first to their property software and second to their old website, resulting in hours of unnecessary duplicated work.

For their new website, our web design Kent experts suggested using an API integration to pull properties straight from their software into the website.

Our results

Our WordPress development specialists connected BTF’s website with their property software Alto via an API integration. BTF now only have to upload their properties once into Alto, and each property is then automatically pulled into their bespoke WordPress website.

  • API integration – all the property information including the title, description, category, price, images and location is seamlessly pulled from Alto into the BTF website. If properties are sold or their descriptions or prices updated, the website is also automatically updated.
  • Customisation – not all the information BTF wanted to display on their website was available in Alto, such as short descriptions and the team member to contact for each property. We therefore created additional fields for each property that BTF can edit on the website, meaning they could get exactly what they wanted.

BTF no longer have to upload and update properties on two different systems, saving hours hours of admin time per week and ensuring that property information is always in sync and accurate.
